Although
Druidry has its roots in the misty depths of Celtic history, the way of the
modern day Druid is a essentially that of Celtic Shaman & Celtic spirituality.
The Myth & legend of Celtic spirituality is the inspiration and source material
for much of Our traditional fairy stories, the Tolkien - 'Lord Of The Rings'
& 'The Hobbit', 'Harry Potter', 'The Mists Of Avalon' & the Arthurian sagas,
C.S Lewis's - 'The Witch The Lion & The Wardrobe' and many others.
Modern day Druidry is peopled by Bards both men and woman, the Shaman & Shamanka,
the Druidess and Druid, the He-Wizard & She-Wizard. Today much of the attraction
of Celtic Druidry is that it is inspired by the wisdom of the ancient Celt
who saw men & woman as equally powerful and relevant, and that we 'human kind'
needed to work within the web of nature, & had an important roll to play in
the welfare and maintenance of Our Earth.
So -What is a Druid?
The Druid is a Celtic Shaman who uses techniques evolved over thousands of
years to heal ourselves, to heal others & to heal the land.

in Druidry and metaphysics. This course has been compiled by the founding

ACOD Grove meetings
Regular Grove meetings ( Druid circles),
are held on each of the 8 traditional festivals through out the year, in
the Brisbane /Gold Coast area. These are generally at weekends. Circle starts
at 4.00 pm. sharp. Please bring robes,
drums, etc. for ritual (Also wine and plate to share for the feast after.)
Each Druid circle will be celebrating the seasonal festival, and generally
it will include energy raising & Earth healing activities.
Bardic circle
Close of circle will be followed by a Bardic
circle: - where people are invited to play instruments, sing a song, tell
a story, recite a poem or other Bardic activity. Including much merriment
& feasting.

Down in the basement, in the darkest corners of the
ACOD headquarters lies many documents covered in dust and cobwebs, these
are the ACOD archives. They are dutifully watched over by a wise owl librarian.
After months of trying we in the ACOD office finally managed to persuade
